We are having some fun for a good cause. On our most recent episode of the podcast, Ray, Dylan and Alan did a 6 round fantasy draft of Orange County SC players. For the month of June, we will be keeping track of stats, in hopes of our roster winning the first ever “Orange & Black SoccerCast Playing for Pride Orange County SC Fantasy Soccer Challenge”, or OABSCPFPOCSCFSC for short.
The rules are pretty simple. We each drafted 6 players who we hope will play great in the month of June to help our team win. The winner gets a yet to be determined trophy, while the two losers will each personally donate $25 to Playing for Pride.
Here are the ways points can be earned (or lost):
Shot on Target = 1 point
Goal = 2 points (total of 3 points for shot on target and goal)
Assist = 3 points
Appearance = 1 point
Start = 2 points (total of 3 points for start and appearance)
Save (GK) = 1 point
Clean Sheet (GK) = 5 points
Hat trick = 2 points (total of 11 points for 3 shots on target, 3 goals, and hat trick)
Yellow Card = -1 point
Red Card = -3 points
Own goal = -5 points
Bonus: If the team or any player’s Twitter is hacked in the month of June, the first person to Tweet about it gets 69 bonus points.
