Orange County opens up Western Conference play at home this Saturday, March 25 against the Lights of Las Vegas.
Orange County has a very strong chance at earning their first victory of the 2023 season. They will look to accomplish this at the expense of fellow Western Conference rivals Las Vegas Lights FC who will be looking to qualify for the USL playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
This past Friday was St. Patrick’s Day, and to celebrate, Orange County SC hosted their first of four Beer fests at Championship Soccer Stadium on Saturday night. Oh, and the team also hosted Tampa Bay Rowdies (a year too late). The result: a lot of fans out of the stands, and a 1-1 draw. Orange County looked the more dominant team on the pitch, but too many missed opportunities to put the game away allowed Tampa Bay the opportunity to steal a point, which they did in the 82nd minute.
Although a tie at home isn’t what anyone was hoping for, this Orange County squad showcased a lot of chemistry and promise on the pitch in their week 2 match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Orange County continues their 2023 campaign Saturday, March 18th at home against the Rowdies of Tampa Bay.
After suffering defeat in their opening matchup against Louisville City, Orange County now shifts its focus to another Eastern Conference powerhouse in that of the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Orange County SC opened the season with a 1-3 loss to Louisville City FC this past Saturday. Although there were some highlight moments and a few players looked good, most of the team looked like a team playing their first game of the regular season, while one looked a little shaky at times. Orange County announced this morning that they signed Goalkeeper Cody Cropper for the 2023 season. Cropper, who has previously played in the USL Championship with Memphis 901 on Loan, also has experience through his career in England, and multiple MLS sides.
