After a 225 day gap, Orange County SC will begin their season on the road Sunday afternoon against Tacoma Defiance.

OCSC had a generally positive preseason. OC was challenged by (but prevailed) over a few local college teams, along with a loss against Los Dos. At altitude in Colorado Springs, OC drew 2-2 with the Switchbacks before coming home for last weekend’s 6-0 flogging of Ventura County.

But the regular season is what really counts. Tacoma has already played twice, drawing with Los Dos before stunning fans around the league with a 3-1 victory over San Diego on Thursday night.

OC will look to avoid a similar fate and open their season with a win for the first time since 2017.

Seth Casiple will miss out due to a foot injury. The dynamic midfielder was seen in a protective boot as recently as Friday. All other players should be available for selection.

In the final preseason match, Orange County lined up as follows:
Jahn
Enevoldsen, Iloski, Damus
Wehan, McCabe
Alston, Kiernan, Orozco, Richards
Rakovsky

The match kicks off at noon Pacific time (8 p.m. GMT) at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+ for those in the US and on the USL YouTube channel for international viewers.
