Orange County SC announced earlier today that they have reached an agreement to bring back midfielder Koji Hashimoto for the 2019 USL Championship season. Hashimoto appeared in 23 matches with Orange County in 2018 and scored 2 goals. The resigning adds to an already deep midfield that includes Aodhan Quinn, Christian Duke and Charlie Adams, along with young newcomer Sebastian Des Pres.
Hashimoto has played professionally since 2006, when he signed with Nagoya Grampus of the J1 League. Last season was his first in the USL.
The return of Hashimoto adds stability to an Orange County side that has focused on starting the season with strong chemistry, something that the team lacked at the beginning of last season. He is now the 11th returning player from last season’s team that fell just one win shy of reaching the USL Championship Cup Final.
