ORANGE COUNTY SC ADD ADAM JAHN ON LOAN FROM MLS

Orange County SC announced today the acquisition of forward Adam Jahn, pending league and federation approval. Jahn joins OCSC on loan from MLS side Atlanta United and is the ninth offseason addition for Orange County.

“We are delighted to add Adam, a true Champion and prolific goal scorer to our roster,” said OCSC President of Soccer Operations Oliver Wyss. “Signing a player of Adam’s pedigree clearly indicates what our goal is for the season and we are looking forward to his contributions on and off the field!”

Jahn, 30, is an eight-year professional and former USL Cup Champion. He spent the shortened 2020 season with Atlanta United and started at center-forward in 11 of Atlanta’s 20 regular season matches. He tallied three goals and had one assist for the club.

Before joining Atlanta in January of 2020, Jahn had a record-breaking season in USL with OCSC’s Western Conference rival Phoenix Rising. He finished the season with 17 goals and five assists and was named part of the 2019 USL Championship’s All-League First Team.

Jahn started his professional career when he was selected 15th overall by the San Jose Earthquakes in the 2013 MLS Super Draft. During his rookie season, he started in 11 matches and scored four goals. He also spent time on-loan with MLS side Columbus Crew and has 15 career goals and three assists across 121 MLS appearances.

“I am extremely excited with the addition of Adam! He has proven at every level that he can score goals,” said OCSC Head Coach Braeden Cloutier. “He also brings a tireless work ethic on the defensive side of the game that I am very impressed with that will be a huge asset for the way we want to play.”

Before being drafted in 2013, Jahn played four seasons at Stanford University, scoring 24 goals and notching 12 assists over his college career. By his senior year, he was named All-Pac-12 First Team.

“I’m so excited to return to my home state and join an organization with such high goals and aspirations,” said Jahn.
