Under Braeden Cloutier, OCSC has been successful against the Energy, taking all six points in the 2018 season. This year the match comes as OC has come into a great run of form with the last two matches featuring six goals on top of shutout performances. Off the backs of those performances, OC currently sits in eighth in the table.

Meanwhile, the Energy look anything but energetic. After a hot start, the team has struggled, taking just one point from their last four matches and dropping into 14th place. The OKC offense has struggled, only registering three shots on target in their last two matches against Timbers 2 and last-placed Rio Grande Valley. The defense has also been struggling, allowing five goals in the same timeframe.

As OCSC currently boasts the third-most prolific offense in the Western Conference, the squad is likely to add to their 13 goal tally this weekend. New loanee and number one overall MLS draft pick Frankie Amaya is also likely to make an appearance for Orange County, as he joined the club on a month-long loan on Wednesday.

The match kicks off at 7.30 Central (5.30 Pacific) at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City. The game will also be broadcast live on ESPN+ in the United States.

Highlights:

  • Darwin Jones scored his fourth of 2019, tied for sixth in the USL’s Golden Boot race.

  • All twelve of OKC Energy FC’s goals in 2019 have come from inside the box, including two headers.
